The club would like to congratulate one of our alumi, Christopher Heffernan, 170 game AFL veteran and AFL Premiership player, for his appointment in October to the Essendon Football Club Board. He is a champion player, an amazing clubman, and dedicated individual. We wish him all the best!
During the week, NY Magpies Marketing Director Brett Smiley had the pleasure to catch up with Heff and asked him about his latest appointment. A modest Heffernan explained “they wanted to inject some younger and more recent player perspectives into the Board, and I am one of the few recent premiership players without an existing football conflict.”
