New York Magpie Kim Hemenway aimed to prove her worth in the Sydney vs. Giants women’s exhibition match to have a shot at the 2017 Female Draft. Hemenway slotted in the first goal of the game from a set shot taken off of a on-body mark. From there it was history! Kim walked away with 3 goals on the day and was named in the Best on Ground along with 3 other Swans.
The AFL recently featured Kim in an article highlighting “Hemenway’s Journey from the US Navy to Swans’ Forward.”
